They picked desert3. I had a pretty horrible start, for some reason my ping was 40ms higher on the exact same server than it was when we last played. I felt like I wasn't hitting perfectly and it frustrated me at the beginning. During this time, xemi carried me so as to not make the deficit too great, so all credit goes to him for ensuring that this didn't finish any worse than it did. Thankfully I was able to get used to the ping/hitreg/whatever and get my arse in gear for the second half, and after being down by about four flags we managed to pull back to a tie. We really need to stop tying MyS on this map. :p
Then we picked gothic. After map number one we were both feeling confident in our fragging abilities and teamplay, and as such were able to take the win with relative comfort.
Disclaimer: I was using DamDam's name because the server for some reason has a whitelist (?!) and since DamDam is on my mind all the time anyway, he was the first name that popped into my head.
