Well, my host dotVPS were bought out by another bigger company called Virtora. I was told that my contract agreement would continue as normal, so I neglected to read the T+C's and AUP of the new company. Today I randomly get an e-mail saying that I've violated the aforementioned AUP through the installation of a Teamspeak server (srsly?). Anyway, long story short - my VPS contract was cancelled and I've ordered a replacement with a different host that do allow Teamspeak servers, although I probably won't get a chance to set it up until this afternoon (it's currently 2am on Wednesday 11th for those not in my timezone). Unfortunately, I'm not able to log in to my old VPS via SSH or FTP so I can't retrieve any files that were on the old server. This means that I'll have to essentially rebuild it from scratch. The domain name/server address will remain the same once the service is active again.
Just a heads up anyway. I'd apologise to anybody who is annoyed by this, but I also happen to be one of those people, so please direct your unquenchable hatred at the pathetic excuse of a company who thought hosting a Teamspeak server is as bad as hosting a contract killings website, TOR, or child porn. Thanks + cya.
