Sad that we actually lost our pick due to some mistakes, as for the HTF one, well we have to work on it, and find a way to stop them. Those games were needed for us to progress on this, GGs to both teams.
To sad in our pick :/... we had to risk the last one, so they won by ond flag... We got to work on some stuff for sure, but imo, we were doing a lot better than expected
Vanquish, we made the mistakes, we were ahead, controlling and dominating the game, and WE let it go. They're strong on this, but on the first half of the game they had no answer. Until we start to flip over and lose focus, until the final flag. Concentration, focus & experience made the difference, not specially teamwork.
Quote: Vanquish wrote in post #3picking werk vs FD is imo kinda asking to lose.
Dude, we knew this, but we expected way worse. I don't regret that we picked it, cus that game was close, and now I know way more about werk than begore we played this game...
It's all about coordination, as DamDam said you were dominating, but only in frags. They were better coordinated in those games, so they won despite having substantially less frags.
This is actually a serious question, have you considered voting TDM vs them? You were blatantly stronger fraggers, it could work out well imo.
Vanquish is absolutely right. I was in FD* before and know how their teamwork are in like every map and mode.. So, i guess a TDM or other maps would work out guys Hope you (we) will be better the next time Gg!
Tbh, i might be the one who knows the most how FD* plays, but yea... I know what is their strongest point, it's communication. NO clan, i said NO clan, communicate the way FD* does. When playing a game as a team, you need to communicate and be in the right time/coordination with your mates. This is why HTF works out perfect, since it's all about forgetting selfishness and covering your own flag-holder.
In CTF, they're not unbeatable, and the fact that it was ac_werk, shows nothing. Not because they've played the map more than us means they'll dominate us on this, furthermore, they had RVSF side which they are more likely less used to play with. Like i already said, it was all about concentration, they never gave up, pushed and pushed again, waiting for us to make a mistake, which we stupidly did at repeated times. WE let the game go away, and it was very well played from them to be able to turn our mistakes into flags. They deserved that win, we have to manage to be at 100% and concentrate throughout the whole game, and not stop playing and not focusing when we're ahead.
As for TDM, i also know how they play it, as FD* knows they're probably not the best fraggers, they would actually camp, camp and camp again. You don't even imagine how hard they camp, and they're patient and clever enough to wait and let you do the mistake. Unless you're really pro at camping, you'll make the mistake before they do, and i can guarantee even if we probably had the advantage fragging, TDM would've been hell against this lineup.
So again, they're teamwork is excellent because they learnt to play together, get along with each other and they communicate a LOT and efficiently, not talking about the wether during the game. And what makes them strong is that they never lose focus, which is not our case.
