swedish musicians: abba, roxette, agnes carlsson, ace of base, robyn, the cardigans, the sounds, gyllene tider, ted gärdestad, kleerup, laleh, lykke li, swedish house mafia, tove styrke, the latin kings, eric prydz (didn't even know he's swedish until right now and he's huge) etc.
i didn't include the ones i don't like or only have neutral feelings for in my beautiful list. avicii is trash. we also have In Flames, Basshunter, Loreen, Europe, A Teens, Infinite Mass, The Ark, Takida, Rebecca and Fiona, Icona Pop
if you want to hear some quality music just search the names on my first list on youtube, yop
Nah, but it's hard to match ABBA, but one of them were norwegian, so I'll get 25%. Other than that we do have madcon, a-ha, Tone Damli, Alexander Rybak sure (still has the record for highest score ever in ESC), Datarock, Secret Garden, Paperboys, and hell a lot of metal bands that are popular in germany for some reason..
The problem though, is that there are so many norwegian artists singing in norwegian, so people outside norway wont listen to them (well sometimes though): (Had a fckin long list, but the thing crashed): Erik & Kriss, Karpe Diem, Plumbo, Sirkus Eliassen, DJ Broiler, Di Derre, DDE, DumDum boys, Donkeyboy, Kaizers Orchestra and Bernhoft. Can't forget Edvard Grieg ofc.
"Only good song", right
But why music? The world is global, which means we can listen to w/e music we want wherever we want. What about things you can't enjoy all around the world; Norwegian nature:
the hole on the 2nd last picture is not manmade afaik
i love the tone damli song so i guess norge's got 2 good songs, very impressive
as for the nature, it was created by God or some powerful, intelligent alien. its no good argument for this flame war. comparing norge and swedens music industries is better, not only because sweden wins but also because it shows the talent/skills/awesomeness of the people and not the talent/skills/awesomeness of god himself or an E.T. looking alien. I realise though that the nature talk is the only way for norway to score some points.
it should also be mentioned that swedish is the main language in the nordic countries and, as Cleaner would put it, denmark and norway "speak a bootleg copy of swedish".
